The Lee Tunnel is a 4-mile long overflow sewer in East London, capturing an average of tively capture an average of 16 million tonnes of sewage a year from the 35 most polluting combined sewer overflows built by the Victorians.
Fastglobe were privileged to be contracted to work on this legacy contract. We completed two-part sealant to external retaining walls and to the pumping shaft roof areas. Fire-rate sealant was also supplied and installed to the 80 metre deep shaft. Our specialist operatives received confined space training working in these conditions.
