FACTSHEET

Location

Wembley, London

Sector

Stadia

Date

2006

In 2002, the old Wembley Stadium was demolished to make way for the development of a magnificent new 90,000-seater stadium, which would be the home of English football and to host large events such as Cup Finals, and music events. The new stadium opened to the public on 9 March 2007.

Fastglobe was contracted to supply and install fire-rated joint sealant for the concrete terracing units. Fastglobe applied 100,000m of the specialist fire-rated sealant to both horizontal and vertical terrace joints. Fastglobe also supplied and installed mechanical movement joints and fire barrier systems where movements joints were too excessive for joint sealants.
